Our clients come in all different sizes and have many different requirements. Our job is to implement those requirements in a quality, professional and timely manner. This Bufford, GA warehouse is brand new and will be coming online shortly. Our job there was to was to install barcode scanners and printers on nine doors. As a green site we did not have to navigate our way around lots of other contractors and employees. So it was a lot easier to get the job done in a timely fashion. As some of you may know large warehouses can be a very busy place during business hours. This particular job required three installers but we took five guys so we could provide some on the job training to our new installers who did a great job their first time out! The order only called for nine doors as indicated before, so we may be returning in the somewhat distant future to install the additional doors.
Challenging Facts About this Installation
The biggest challenge our team faced was to get the control panels from ground floor up to the platform. Each panel weighs almost 200 pounds so our team had to get creative. Normally two guys can carry the panel up the stairs if the incline is not too steep but that was not the case here seeing that the platform was at least 12 feet above the ground. Good old "block and tackle" never fails in conjunction with a hydraulic lift here and there.
